The Chain of Civilization – Digital Intangible Cultural Heritage Co-Creation Initiative

We're pleased to serve as the venue partner for the global premiere of "The Chain of Civilization – Digital Intangible Cultural Heritage Co-Creation Initiative." Taking place from February 27 to March 1, 2026, this exhibition marks the first stop of an international tour. The showcase, titled "Chinese Visions on Paper," focuses on the traditional art of Yuxian Paper-Cutting, a National Intangible Cultural Heritage project from China, presented through a combination of physical masterpieces and digital technology.

Exhibition Highlights

• Original Artworks: The exhibition features approximately 40 original works by Zhou Shuying, a representative inheritor of Yuxian Paper-Cutting. Key pieces on display include her “Twelve Zodiac” and “Flora and Fauna of Fortune” series.

• Contemporary Perspectives: Artist Cui Xiaoqing will present the “Thousand-Pattern Project,” a series that explores the relationship between traditional motifs and the structural beauty of Chinese characters.

• The "Intangible Cultural Heritage Cube": An immersive digital zone located in the Main Atrium, utilizing light, shadow, and video installations to bring traditional paper-cut designs to life.

• Live Craftsmanship: Visit the “Master Workbench” to view demonstrations of the traditional crafting process, including drafting, cutting, and the intricate color separation techniques unique to this art form.

• AI Interactive Experience: Visitors can participate in the “New Year AI Interactive Greeting Card” installation, which uses generative technology to create personalized digital art inspired by traditional aesthetics.

• Cultural Exchange: The event will feature joint sharing sessions between a Chinese paper-cutting instructor and a Malaysian batik teacher, highlighting the craftsmanship shared across cultures.

Note: A press conference will be held at the Main Atrium on the morning of February 27 at 11:00 AM, during which the core exhibition zone will be officially opened.
