LaLaport Transportation Hub Is Now Officially Open — Here's Why It's A Game-Changer For KL & Singapore Travellers
If you've ever found yourself rushing between bus terminals, train stations, and ride-hailing pick-up points before a trip to Singapore, there's good news.
LaLaport BBCC has officially unveiled the LaLaport Transportation Hub (LTH) — a brand-new integrated transport hub that brings express buses, rail connections, airport transfers, shopping, dining and entertainment under one roof. Think of it as your journey starting long before you board the bus.

First things first — what is the LaLaport Transportation Hub?
Officially launched on 16 July 2026, the LaLaport Transportation Hub (LTH) is an APAD-licensed transportation hub located at Level LG1, East Atrium of LaLaport BBCC.

The hub was officiated by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories), YB Hannah Yeoh, alongside representatives from DBKL, APAD, the Embassy of Japan, Mitsui Fudosan, and industry partners, marking another milestone in Kuala Lumpur's push towards better urban mobility.
Unlike a conventional bus terminal, LTH combines transport infrastructure with lifestyle conveniences, allowing travellers to relax, dine or shop before their journey.

Ticketing counter and waiting area
Your KL-Singapore journey just got much easier
One of the biggest highlights is that around 30 express bus operators will operate from LTH, making it one of Kuala Lumpur's key city-centre departure points for cross-border routes to Singapore.

Bus bays at the transportation hub
Besides Singapore-bound services, travellers can also access:
• Shuttle vans to KLIA Terminal 1 & Terminal 2
• Ride-hailing pick-up and drop-off zones
• Boleh-Boleh Ride on-demand shuttle services
• Seamless transfers to rail networks

For frequent travellers, this means fewer transfers, less walking between terminals, and a much smoother travel experience.
More than a bus terminal — it's designed like an airport lounge
One thing that immediately stands out is how modern the hub feels.
Instead of waiting by the roadside or at a cramped terminal, passengers can enjoy:

• Air-conditioned waiting lounge
• 11 dedicated bus bays
• Passenger Information Display System (PIDS) with real-time schedules
• Physical ticket counters
• Self-service ticketing kiosks
• Complimentary Wi-Fi
• Luggage lockers
• ATMs
• Money changers
• Accessible facilities for senior citizens and persons with disabilities
• 24-hour security monitoring
It feels closer to a modern airport departure hall than a traditional express bus station.

Convenient luggage locker and services at the hub
Shopping while waiting? Yes, please.
Perhaps the biggest advantage of LTH is its location.
Because it's integrated into LaLaport BBCC, travellers aren't limited to sitting in a waiting area until departure.
Instead, they can explore nearly 300 retail, dining and entertainment outlets while waiting for boarding time. Whether it's grabbing coffee, having a proper meal, shopping, or catching up with friends, waiting for your bus suddenly becomes much more enjoyable.

Connected to almost every major transport option
Getting to LTH is surprisingly convenient.

LaLaport BBCC is connected to the Hang Tuah Station, accessible via KL Monorail and the LRT.

You may also opt for e-hailing services to reach LaLaport Drop Off 2, which is closest to the LaLaport Transportation Hub (LTH)
The hub connects directly to:
• Hang Tuah LRT Station
• Hang Tuah Monorail Station
• Nearby MRT connections
• Express buses
• Airport shuttle services
• Ride-hailing services
This integrated approach means travellers can move between different modes of transport without leaving the development.
Inspired by Japan's integrated transport hubs
The concept behind LTH wasn't created from scratch.
According to Mitsui Fudosan, the hub draws inspiration from successful Japanese mixed-use developments such as Tokyo Midtown Yaesu, where transportation, retail, dining and lifestyle experiences are seamlessly integrated within one destination.

The goal is simple: transform travelling from something stressful into something comfortable and convenient.
Supporting a greener Kuala Lumpur
Beyond convenience, the new hub also supports Kuala Lumpur's long-term sustainability goals.
By encouraging travellers to combine public transport, rail, airport shuttles and shared mobility options, LTH aims to reduce dependence on private vehicles, helping to ease congestion while lowering carbon emissions.
Located within the Bukit Bintang City Centre precinct, the hub is also expected to boost economic activity by connecting commuters with nearby offices, residences, shopping and lifestyle destinations.

For years, travelling between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore often meant navigating scattered pick-up points, inconsistent waiting facilities and multiple transfers.
The LaLaport Transportation Hub changes that by creating a proper city-centre transport experience that's clean, comfortable and genuinely convenient. Whether you're heading to Singapore for the weekend, catching a flight from KLIA, or simply exploring Kuala Lumpur via public transport, LTH makes getting there a whole lot easier.
And perhaps the best part? You can spend your waiting time shopping, dining or relaxing instead of standing by the roadside.
